‘Lady Major General’ series in making

New Iranian series ‘Lady Major General’ is in the making with a theme on prominent woman hero fighting imperialism in Iran history.

The historical series directed by Parviz Sheikh-Tadi depicts a female heroic figure of Bakhtiari ethnic descent in Iran.

The lady called Bibi Maryam Bakhtiari was at the forefront of the fight against British imperialism. She is known as an Iranian woman of courage who picked up the gun along with her family for Iran independence.

 Iranian actress Pantea Sirous was picked out to feature the female leading role of the series as she knew horse riding and fencing.

According to a media report, the series recently wrapped up filming and is currently waiting for music to be composed.
